An unknown year May Bell Mandolin. The bridge is bone topped rosewood, like their higher-end instruments.
Standard A-model size, with a nice spruce top. Note the 3-piece "comma style" f-holes like those that
are found on the f-hole guitars. Unusual that the May Bell mandolin has these f-holes and the Slingerland Songster
mandolin has regular f-holes.
A view of the back, showing the mahogany body and sides, maple neck. This mandolin has
a neck that is held on only by the fingerboard attachment to the body -- a Winter project!
