An unknown year spruce top May Bell Recording Master, with green ivoroid (MOTS) pickguard and covered bridge. Fingerboard and head covered with white ivoroid.
The back, showing the green ivoroid covering. Rob Cook's The Slingerland Book shows this style of covering in the 1936 catalog (the first year they offered a color swatch page in their drum catalog) as Sea Green Pearl.
The head, engraved with the name and a design... the end of the head is the same shape as my spruce-topped MayBell Pinnacle of Perfection. This shape was also used on their Banjo Guitars.
