A rare Slingerland Songster Electric Guitar owned by Tom Vibert of GA. This guitar was played professionally in the the 30's & 40's by Tom's father in the Malone area of upstate New York. The guitar is 11½" wide and is 36" long. The guitar is shown with the pickup cover removed. Music must run in Tom's family, as he played bass in a band for about 40 years as well! The head (the standard Slingerland/MayBell headstock), only without the celluloid overlay common to the Slingerland instruments. This instrument has been refinished at some point in its life!

The pickup of the guitar -- in need of re-wiring -- it is the "hard-wired" style that they used on the some Slingerland & May Bell Lap Steels, straight exposed bar magnet style.
